Aquí os presento un mango a medida que me encargó un amigo de Zagreb hace unas semanas. Se trata de un KAISER corto, sin moleteado, totalmente liso y pulido a espejo.

Acero inoxidable 316L, 85 mm de largo, 13/13 mm calibre, 77 gr de peso, pulido a espejo.

Especificaciones, pesos y medidas - Specifications, Weights and Measures

Hola amigos.

Sabéis que las especificaciones de los mangos son aproximadas. Los mangos son manufacturados artesanalmente en un torno paralelo y completamente mecanizados a mano. Lijados y pulidos a espejo también a mano, uno por uno. Aunque intento hacer todos los mangos iguales, no son exactamente iguales. Todos tienen pequeñas diferencias en pesos y medidas. No hay dos piezas absolutamente iguales. No se han mecanizado en un torno CNC. Es lo que tiene la artesanía.

Os cuento esto porque recientemente uno de vosotros muy amablemente me ha comentado que su mango pesaba 101.8-101.9 gr en vez de los 103 gr que figuran en las especificaciones. Bien, esto es posible. En todas las páginas de venta y en la lista de precios figura una nota donde especifico esto que os estoy explicando. Además, mi báscula no es una báscula de precisión. Es una báscula de cocina, sí de cocina, con una precisión de 1 gr. y evidentemente no tan fiable como una báscula de precisión que pueda pesar décimas de gramo.

Bien, con esta explicación, espero haber aclarado este aspecto, inherente a cualquier elemento de artesanía realizado a mano.

You know that handle specifications are approximate. Handles are manufactured by hand in a lathe and fully hand mechanized. Sanded and mirror polished also by hand, one by one. Although I try to make all handles alike, they are not exactly alike. All have slightly different weights and measures. No two pieces are exactly alike. No machining on a CNC lathe. Is it about the craft.

I tell you this because recently one of you very kindly told me that its handle weighed 101.8-101.9 gr instead of 103 grams contained in the specifications. Well, this is possible. In all sale pages and the price list is a note where I explain these specific things. Besides, my scale is not a precision scale. It is a kitchen scale, kitchen itself, with an accuracy of 1 g. and obviously not as reliable as a precision scale that can weigh tenths of a gram.

Well, with this explanation, I hope I have clarified this aspect, inherent to any item of handmade crafts.

Aquí os presento un mango de cobre que hice hace unos días como un prototipo. No me planteo hacer mangos de cobre, por lo blando que es el material y lo difícil que se hace de mecanizar precisamente por eso, pero aquí os lo muestro para que veáis que no paro de investigar nuevos materiales.

Cobre, 85 mm de largo, 15/15 mm calibre, 109 gr de peso.

Ahora está en el hogar de un buen amigo australiano.
