I can't thank you both enough. The handle is absolutely stunning in person and has far exceeded all my expectations. The weight and balance is perfect. The knurling is both beautiful and provides amazing grip. And the craftsmanship is worthy of a museum. Finding the Myrurgia soap in the box was an unexpected yet wonderful surprise. From what little info I can find, it appears that it was discontinued 12 years ago, making it a truly rare gift. One that will be treasured immensely. I will be sure to write a review on the blog. This will most certainly not be my last UFO handle. I can't wait to see what comes next. But I do know that whatever Rafael dreams up, it will be absolutely gorgeous. The pieces in red bronze look amazing.When I speak of my handle on the shave forums I always receive many emails complimenting the beauty of the piece, and asking how to acquire one. I gladly give out your website, and I'm sure as word spreads there will be even more orders to come. I wish you both the best of luck with your endeavor, and I hope to remain in touch.

The Godzilla handle from Rafael arrived yesterday afternoon and it’s everything that I had hoped it would be. The 15 mm caliber is larger than I had imagined, but fits my hand beautifully. At 85 mm length and a weight of 103 grams it’s a heavy handle but balances well with the Gillette NEW. The handle knurling is strong enough to insure a good grip but smooth enough to feel comfortable in the hand.

My first shave with the NEW and the Godzilla was the best that I’ve had with the SC NEW. I have a Med Prep blade, Mystic Water Bay Rum soap, and a 24 mm TGN super silvertip brush. I’m looking forward to shaving with the NEW LC, as I like that razor even better than the SC.

With the Gillette NEW I find that the correct angle seems to be natural, and the larger, heaver handle does not change that.

The one thing that I did notice was that the blade was smooth against my skin, no harsh scraping feeling. Possibly the added weight of the handle removed any temptation to apply more pressure. 

I used my typical three-pass shave, WTG, XTG, and finally ATG. No nicks, cuts, or weepers. With the NEW SC and the Godzilla I got a shave only slightly less than a BBS shave; I’ve only had better shaves with the LC. The only thing that has changed from my previous shaves, with this razor, is the handle.

I would like to add that dealing with Juan and Rafael, from the initial inquiries to the final purchase and shipping, was easy and informative. I can’t say enough about what a pleasure it was to work with them.

Hi Rafael (and Juan),

What a pleasure it was doing business with you!

The service was excellent all the way from the inquiry I had about a handle that I didn't see on your site but wanted, to the shipping and delivery. The execution of the handle is flawless, it's a thing of beauty to anyone who appreciates fine gear.

I inquired about a smaller handle that I wanted and you had exactly what I wanted in stock and ready to ship. It went out the next day, but no one controls the postal system, so I was in their hands until delivery, both in Spain and the US. It took time, but it was worth the wait.

When I opened the package I couldn't help but think the handle was perfect. The "Gillette Aristocrat" knurling has enough grip without being harsh. Did I mention it's gorgeous? If not I should have. I have no idea how you polish the non-knurled areas to that mirror finish but it's got to take time to polish to that degree. Good attention to detail throughout. Another nice touch is the Certificate of Authenticity to add provenence. To see that my handle was a prototype just makes it even more special for me.

I bought the handle specifically to put on a Muhle R41. I love the Muhle R41razor head, but the handle and I were just living together without any real love being shown by either of us for the other. It was just too long and too slick. This handle looks great on that head, and feels great too. Finally I have a handle worthy of the R41 head. The Stainless will last through my lifetime, and while I have no idea how many liftimes it will last, I know that I'll never wear it out. A dozen lifetimes from now it'll still be going strong on whatever shave head it's on at the time, I have no doubt of that. That's precisely what I wanted. I really appreciate what went into making it.

Now I'll need to get a gold plated razor so that I can get one in bronze.

Por el momento sabéis que UFO U2 y UFO KAISER están disponibles en acero.
También que UFO GODZILLA está disponible en acero, bronce rojo, y latón.
Y que UFO GOLIATH sólo estaba disponible en bronce rojo y latón. Pero eso era hasta ahora.

UFO GOLIATH y UFO GODZILLA son ambos de calibre 15 mm, y lo que los diferencia es la profundidad del moleteado. En UFO GODZILLA es sutil, un equilibrio entre elegancia y agarre. En UFO GOLIATH es más profundo, y por tanto le confiere algo más de agarre al mango.

Pues bien, he estado haciendo pruebas para moletear más profundo el acero, y os puedo decir, que no sin dificultad, pero que han sido satisfactorias. Así que pronto tendréis disponible el UFO GOLIATH también en acero inoxidable 316L. (Puede que con un ligero aumento de precio).
